Pre Sea Training is an ideal course for engaging in ocean-based occupations
There are suitable pre-C training courses for those who have passed 10th class in science subjects to engineering graduates in Mechanical Navy Architecture.
Those who have passed Class X with not less than 40% marks can become a ship employee after passing the Pre-C training course and passing the GP Rating Competency Examinations and getting DGS approval.
10th graders between the ages of 17.5 and 25 can apply. The basis of employment is the certificates obtained by passing the Competency Rating Examinations of the Directorate General of Shipping and others.

PG Diploma in Marine Engineering
The Marie Time University of India has converted the earlier one-year pre-sea training course into a PG Diploma in Marine Engineering, making it more suitable for becoming an engineer in the Merchant Navy.
The course is conducted at Varsity's Cochin campus on Wellington Island.
This course is open to those who have completed at least 50% marks in Mechanical / Naval Architecture and who are appearing for the final degree qualifying examination to become Shipboard Engine Cadets.
Both men and women can study Pre-C training or Pre-C Marine Engineering.
Must have obtained at least 50% marks in English subject at Class X / Plus Two level. Must be proficient in English.
GP rating
GP rating is a course that is considered as a basic qualification for deck / engine employees in shipping companies and other jobs at sea.
Qualification
Candidates who have secured 40% marks in Class X examination can apply.
Age limit : 18 - 25
Classes begin in January and July of every year.

Maritime Catering Certificate Course
