KSAP now a unified platform for skill development courses



Thiruvananthapuram has become a unified platform for skill development courses of various agencies in the state. Kerala Skill Accreditation Platform (K-SAP) has been prepared under ASAP Kerala. K SAP will also be responsible for providing accreditation to skill training agencies in Kerala. 


K SAP is started under ASAP Kerala with the objectives of upgrading the courses of public and private agencies providing skill training in different parts of the state to a national standard and making it a Central Government recognized course, upgrading the training to the standard according to industrial needs and revising the curriculum from time to time. As per the directives of Higher Education Minister R Bindu, the K SAP project was prepared by ASAP to ensure national recognition of all job-oriented courses conducted by various agencies in Kerala through the project starting from October 1. 


ASAP Kerala was selected as the recognized agency and awarding body of National Council for Vocational and Educational Training (NCVET). K SAP formed by ASAP will carry out the mission of bringing the ongoing skill training courses in the state up to NSQF standards. As part of the accreditation, K SAP will be responsible for preparing the curriculum for skill development courses of all the agencies in the state and conducting examinations. K Sap will also issue a nationally recognized certificate. All skill training institutes in the state will be given an opportunity to acquire the accreditation of KSAP by following the guidelines and quality standards.
